Sialkot lynching case: Six culprits handed down death, seven get life term

LAHORE (92 News) - Gujranwala Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Natasha Naseem awarded death sentence to six culprits and life term to six others in the lynching case of Sri Lankan citizen Priyantha Kumara on Monday.

The court also awarded two-year imprisonment to 76 accused. The accused recorded their last statements under section 342.

The videos obtained from the mobile phones of 55 accused was made part of the challan, while 46 statements of the eyewitnesses were parts of the challan.

The prosecution has submitted two challans against the accused. In the first challan, 80 accused had been nominated. In the second challan, the juvenile accused were nominated.

The under-18 accused were tried separately.
