Sialkot tragedy is a murder, Pakistan took prompt action: Sri Lankan high commissioner

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Sri Lankan High Commissioner Mohan Vijay Vikrama has said that the Sialkot tragedy is a murder and Pakistan took prompt action.

Talking to the media on Monday, he said that he believed the victim family would get justice. "The Sialkot tragedy will not affect the relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka," he added.

He also expressed his satisfaction over the steps taken by the Pakistan government, appreciating the steps taken for arresting the accused.

PTI leader Arshad Dad said that the Pakistani nation is grieved at the Sialkot incident. "The Pakistan government considers Sri Lanka very close to it.

The PTI leaders and the Sri Lankan high commissioner stressed the promotion of friendly relations between both countries despite the incident.
