LAHORE (92 News) – Supreme Court of Pakistan has on Monday while accepting the application of former member National Assembly Siddique Khan Baloch for hearing and issued notices to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Jahangir Tareen and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). A bench comprising Supreme Court’s judge in Lahore Registry justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry heard a plea in which Siddique Khan Baloch challenged the ECP’s decision of his disqualification. The applicant argued in his plea that the ECP disqualified him accusing him of having fake degree. The lawyer of Siddique Baloch, Shahzad Shaukat argued that no evidence was produced in front of the tribunal regarding fake degree, so the tribunal’s decision should be declared null and void.
