Sidhu granted Pakistani visa to attend Imran's oath-taking ceremony

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi Monday granted the Pakistani visa to former Indian cricketer and Punjab Minister for Local Government Navjot Singh Sidhu. Sidhu informed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed Khan that he has been issued Pakistani visa to attend Imran Khan's oath-taking ceremony on his telephonic conversation. Earlier, the former Indian cricketer termed that he trust every single word of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and likely to be next PM Imran Khan. He hoped that Imran Khan being as prime minister of Pakistan will be aimed at normalizing ties between India and Pakistan. Praising Imran Khan, Sidhu said Imran Khan always started his every mission from little resources, however, it may be cricket or politics. “A person with one seat back then in 2002 is now all set to swear-in as prime minister of Pakistan,” he said. Sidhu said Imran called him up and said: “Sardar saab, Sat Sri Akal. Sidhu ji, tussi aana zaroor hai (you must come).” Sidhu said: “I told him pucca (sure). I said I will definitely come in all humility.” He also said that It is really honorable for him to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Imran Khan in Pakistan. PTI on Friday invited former Indian cricketers to attend prime minister-in-waiting Imran Khan’s swearing-in ceremony which is due to be held at the President’s Secretariat on August 18.
