Sindh Assembly adopts Consumers Protection Act amid ruckus

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Assembly on Friday adopted Consumers Protection Act. The session which started 40 minutes late was chaired under Sindh Assembly Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza. However, the session soon turned into a ruckus after PML-N MPA Sorath Thebo was not allowed to speak. PPP MPAs defended the objections raised by the opposition including shortage of gas, water and electricity in several areas of Sindh. Wheat export and education sector were also discussed in detail. A member of Muttahida Quami Movement demanded to ban Jamat-e-Islami. The session was adjourned till Monday.
