Amjad Sabri’s killers arrested: Sindh CM

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced the arrest of the killers of renowned Qawal Amjad Sabri. Addressing a press conference with Maula Bukhsh Chandio on Monday, he said that an important task was given to the CTD Karachi. He said that Ishaq alias Bobby and Asim Capri have also been arrested from Liauqatabad. “The terrorists opening fire on a Majlis in Nazimabad on October 29 have been arrested,” he said, adding that the same people terrorists were involved a grenade attack on an Imambargah on October 17. The CM said that the terrorists had also martyred traffic officials at Ayesha Manzil. He said that the accused belonged to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi's Naeem Bukhari Group who was not associated with any political group. “Innocent people will be released. We will also arrest the mastermind,” he said. Syed Murad Ali Shah said that Faisal Raza Abedi had been arrested on the charge of illegal weapons. The provincial government and the police are responsible for the law and order, he added. In a statement, CTD In-charge Raja Umar Khattab said that the group involved in the murder of Amjad Sabri was comprised of 4-5 people. He said that the terrorists used pouches while using weapons. "The accused had also given up the use of the mobile and the Internet," he said. In 2013, Asim Capri was arrested for his involvement in henious crimes. He was shifted to Sukkur Jail from Karachi. In 2015, he and his accomplice were released after being granted bail by court.
