Sindh CM calls IG, chief secretary; discusses security of Muharram procession

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah telephoned Sindh IG AD Khawaja and chief secretary on Tuesday and discussed the security arrangements for Muharram processions. The chief minister asked the IG for intelligence and monitoring report regarding placement of police officials in all divisional headquarters. He also directed him to monitor the processions through all DIGs and keep reporting him. He asked the chief secretary to remain in contact with all the commissioners and monitor the report of district control rooms. He also directed to make use of command and control center to review the security situation as only monitoring is not enough. The chief minister further directed him to give important instructions to the officials and make complete use of police mobiles and vans.
