Sindh CM calls meeting of all senior police officials

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has called a meeting of senior police officials to discuss the leave issue.

The meeting will be held today (Wednesday) at 11am at the Chief Minister's House. Sindh IG Mushtaq Mahar, Additional IG Special Branch, AIG Sukkur and AIG Hyderabad will also attend the meeting. In the meeting, the CM will discuss the concerns of Sindh police officers.

The decision to summon the meeting was taken after top brass of Sindh police had applied to go on long leave following the arrest and release of PML-N leader Captain (retd) Safdar in Karachi.

Earlier, the Sindh has deferred his own leave and ordered his officers to withdraw their leave applications for 10 days after Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa ordered an inquiry into what had happened with the chief of police in the early hours of Monday, the police said in a statement.
