Sindh CM confirms 11 more coronavirus patients, fears increase in cases

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has confirmed 11 more coronavirus cases in the province, increasing the tally to over 100. Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said that a majority of coronavirus patients had arrived from Taftan. “In Karachi, only 27 patients have tested positive out of 393 tests conducted. Arrangements to keep the people in quarantine have been made in Sukkur,” he disclosed. The chief minister said that a room will accommodate a patient. “A patient, out of 34 people coming from China, has tested positive for coronavirus. The number of local transmission cases is five till now,” he added. He said that they were concerned when three passengers coming from London via Dubai tested positive. “There is no problem of kits. The real problem is to conduct tests,” he added. Syed Murad Ali Shah said that he had presented suggestions to the federal government and awaiting response on them. “Prisoners should have no contact with the people outside,” he added. He expressed the resolve that they would control the pandemic soon if showed discipline.
