Sindh CM Murad Shah orders removal of encroachments for clearing drains

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has ordered the removal of encroachments for clearing the drains. He was chairing a high-level meeting on Saturday. He also directed the authorities to provide alternate place to the residents. Syed Nasir Shah said that in the first phase, encroachments will be removed from the places where there is no residence. He said that alternate residence will be arranged for the people affected by the anti-encroachments operation. Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar, Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Zaidi, Minister for Information Technology Aminul Haq, Sindh Minister for Information Nasir Shah and Saeed Ghani were also present. Addressing a ceremony after the meeting, Asad Umar said that action will be taken to remove encroachments from three main drains from Monday. He said that the prime minister is taking keen interest for the progress of the construction sector. "The coming days are good for the construction industry. There is need to construct millions of houses in the country," he added.
