KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that the arrest of former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain is an attack on the province. Talking to the media after inaugurating Mehran Underpass on Friday, he said that the arrest of Dr Asim Hussain was the violation of law and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had ensured to remove reservations. He said that he should have been taken into confidence before arresting Dr Asim. “I have talked to the Corps Commander Karachi and DG Rangers in this regard,” he said. “The reaction to what is being done will not be appropriate.” The Sindh chief minister said that it was not job of the FIA to interfere in the provincial matters. He said that Mehran Underpass had been completed at a cost of Rs 580 million in four months.
