Sindh CM reviews security arrangements for Ashura

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah chaired a meeting on Monday to review security plan during Ashura. The meeting was attended by special assistant to the chief minister, Sindh chief secretary, Sindh IG and additional IG. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah directed to make fool proof security arrangements for Muharram 9 and 10. Sindh IG AD Khawaja brief the chief minister that at least 528 Majalis will be organized in Karachi on Muharram 9 while there will be 403 Majalis on Muharram 10. About 279 processions will be carried out on Muharram 9 while 289 on Muharram 10. At least 25,764 police officials will discharge duties for security purpose, he further said. The main procession of Muharram 10 will be received from Nishtar Park at 12pm. Four extra platoons have been placed for security at Nishtar Park, the Sindh IG added.
