KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah failed to appear before the National Accountability Bureau on Tuesday. He has sought a week to appear before the NAB. He said that he would appear before the NAB in Islamabad and record his statement after a week. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had summoned Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on the report of the joint investigation team probing the fake accounts case. A 15-member team was in Karachi. Earlier, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had appeared before the Supreme Court-formed joint investigation team (JIT) in Islamabad which was probing the money laundering and fake bank accounts case involving transactions worth billions of rupees. On March 25, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had appeared before the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) Rawalpindi in connection with the fake bank accounts case. A five-member NAB investigation team interrogated the Sindh chief minister. Irfan Naeem Mangi, who is the head of the joint investigation team, recorded his statement. He was put tough questions regarding the auction of Thatha Sugar Mills and sale of Omni Group at throwaway prices. Meanwhile, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto has reached Adiala jail to meet his father. Stringent security arrangements have been made on the occasion.
