Sindh CM’s brother-in-law laid to rest in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – Syed Mehdi Shah – brother-in-law of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah – has been laid to rest at Wadiy-e-Hussain Karachi on Friday. He was laid to rest in the late night hours on Friday. The funeral was attended by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and close relatives of the family. Mehdi Shah was died night due to coronavirus (COVID-19). According to the reports, Mehdi Shah had tested positive for the novel coronavirus three weeks ago after returning from Iraq. He remained under treatment at a privately run hospital in Karachi for last three weeks. It is pertinent to mention that he was a senior bureaucrat and served managing director of SITE Ltd as his last posting. Meanwhile, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Sindh Information and Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani, in separate messages condoled the death of brother-in-law of Sindh CM and prayed for the departed soul. Punjab CM condoles death of Syed Mehdi Shah Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar Friday expressed deep sense of sorrow over the sad demise of CM Sindh’s brother-in-law Syed Mehdi Shah due to coronavirus. Extending his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family, Usman Buzdar prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant fortitude and patience to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
