ISLAMABAD (92 News) – DG ISPR Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar said that Sindh former governor Muhammad Zubair had met COAS Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa twice and the meetings pertained to Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz. In an interview with a private channel on Wednesday, he said that the meeting was held on the request of Muhammad Zubair. "The DG ISI was also present in the meeting," he added. The DG ISPR said that the first meeting was held in the last week of August, while another was held on September 7. "COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa told the visitors that legal issues will be resolved in courts and political problems will be resolved in the parliament. He also the visitors to keep the Pak Army away from politics," he said. Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar said: "We should be ready in all respect to foil the designs of India. The Pak Army is ready to deal with all challenges. We are fully prepared to counter Indian capability." He said that the anti-polio drive had been suspended from September 21. "We have to make Pakistan polio-free by the end of 2021," he concluded.
