KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has complained that his province has been given a less share in the Federation.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said that the federal government had not given the funds to the Sindh government with an accusation of devouring it.

He said that one of figures asks how many Motorways have been constructed during their years in the power. "A 70 percent of total tax is collected from this province. The growth rate during three years has been 17 percent," he maintained.

The chief minister said that IRSA has a mandate to distribute water under the agreement. "I have written a letter to the NA speaker for summoning a joint session over the matter. We are accused of provincialism when we talk about our share," he added.

He said that unnecessary projects have been imposed on Sindh forcibly. "We have not given a half of the promised funds. We were promised to give Rs 742 billion and later were asked to forget about Rs 62 billion," he added.

Murad Ali Shah said that the federal minister had insulted the Sindh police. He demanded that the provinces should be given the sales tax on goods.
