KARACHI (92 News) - The Sindh government has put all the onus for more than 700 deaths due to intense heat on K-Electric and Federal Ministry for Water and Power, announcing to register a case against the two for negligence. Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon late Tuesday night said that K-Electric’s poor performance caused mass casualties in Karachi and cases will be lodged against both the institutions in its wake. "More than 20-hours load shedding in rural Sindh is against humanity," he said. “Even today, three directors of the K-Electric are from federation, while the center holds 26 percent shares of the power distribution company.” The minister announced that a case will be registered against the two for the responsibility of 750 plus deaths as a result of the heatwave in Karachi.
