Sindh government unveils Rs740 billion budget; Government employees' salary raised by 10 percent

KARACHI (92 News) - The annual budget of Sindh Government with total outlay of 740 billion rupees was presented in the Sindh Assembly on Saturday. As per reports, the  Sindh Finance Minister Murad Ali Shah presented the budget while the session session of the house was chaired by Speaker Siraj Durrani. Addressing the House, Murad Ali Shah said: "The highest amount, 230 billion, has been allocated for development projects in the province," he said. "While Rs 130 billion have been allocated for education." Also, Government employees are expected to get 10 per cent pay raise while the minimum monthly salary likely to be fixed at Rs 13,000. The uproar from opposition continued to disturb the house proceedings despite repeated requests from the chair. Earlier, the Sindh Cabinet which held its pro-budget meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah approved budgetary proposals.
