Sindh governor declares construction of skyscrapers near Karachi airport a crime

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has termed the construction of skyscrapers near Karachi airport a crime. Talking to the media on Sunday, he said that the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) will also be investigated in this regard. He said that he asked the chief minister to hand over the case to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The governor said that several bodies could not be identified so far. “A DNA specialist team has arrived Karachi from Lahore. Anyone responsible for the tragedy will be punished,” he said. He said that the people whose houses have been affected by the tragedy can move to hotel. “A four-storey building is being constructed around the airport. It is a big crime,” he added. Later, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail visited the house of Shabbir Ahmed and offered condolence over the tragic death.
