Sindh Govt declares emergency in districts located along coastal belt

KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Sindh government has declared emergency in all the districts located along the coastal belt for taking precautionary measures to meet any untoward situation in view of Cyclone in the Arabian Sea.

The decision was taken in an emergency meeting chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi.

The Chief Minister directed the Karachi administration to start clearing all the choking points of drains.

He also directed to start removing all the billboards and ask the builders to take precautionary measures for security of their under-construction buildings.

The Chief Minister further directed Provincial Disaster Management Authority to provide dewatering machines, generators to the district administration in the city and in the other districts across the province on need basis.

The meeting also advised fishermen not to go into the deep sea for fishing from today (Sunday).
