Sindh govt holds IGP responsible for murder of MPA Shahnaz Ansari

KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh government has held IGP Kaleem Imam responsible for the murder of PPP MPA Shahnaz Ansari. In a Sindh cabinet meeting on Wednesday, key evidence regarding the murder of Shahnaz Ansari was presented. Shahnaz Ansari, in a letter, had informed the IGP about the situation on February 12, but irresponsible attitude was adopted. Owing to the IGP’s irreposnible attitude, Shahnaz Ansari was murdered after two days. Accoring to the report, the murder was committed in a dispute over Rs five million, a house and 36 acres of land. The Sindh cabinet expressed its concern over the irresponsible attitude of the police. It also condemned the murder of the journalist Aziz Memon. During the meeting, a report on the police performance and street crime was presented. In January 2020, the crimes rate has increased by 50 percent. The recovery of stolen vehicles has reduced by 10 percent. The participants opined that the federal government increased uncertainty over the IGP transfer. “Lawlessness has increased due to the attitude of the federal government,” he added.
