Sindh govt lifts ban on registration of industries after 27 years

KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh government has lifted the ban on registration of industries after 27 years. Talking to the media on Friday, Minister for Industries Manzoor Wassan said that steps would be taken to create employment opportunities. The decision was announced during the meeting regarding Sindh Industries Registration Act 2017. The meeting was presided over by Minister for Trade and Industries Manzoor Wassan. Manzoor Wassan said under the new policy industrialists will be required to register, install waste treatment plants and provide jobs to local people. He said that action will be taken against the violators. He said the industries would not be allowed to hire labour from other provinces.
