KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh government has on Monday decided to write a letter to the federal government in the next two days seeking to replace AD Khawaja. Provincial law minister said that they will file an appeal on the issue of transfers and postings in police. On the other hand, former Sindh IG Ghulam Haider Jamali, Former IG Finance Fida Hussain and six others were indicted in mega corruption scandal. On Saturday, the cabinet has approved the removal of A.D Khawaja from the post. He will be replaced by grade-22 officer Sardar Abdul Majeed Dasti. The proposal to replace Khawaja with Dasti will be sent to Governor Sindh after Sindh Assembly’s approval. Provincial Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal and AD Khawja have locked horns over the issue. Khawaja is of the view that grade-21 officers have also served as IG Sindh in the past, whereas the minister insists that appointment of a grade-22 officer is vital to abide by Supreme Court’s order.
