Sindh IG asks election commission to transfer SSP, DCO of Umerkot

KARACHI (92 News) – Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh Dr Kaleem Imam penned a letter to Election Commission (EC) seeking transfer of SSP and DCO Umerkot before by-election in the city. According to the letter, Dr Kaleem Imam has asked the election commission (EC) to transfer SSP Umerkot Ijaz Sheikh as he is nominated in several cases. Dr Kaleem Imam said that he has repeatedly informed the provincial government about activities of Ijaz Sheikh. He further said that both the officers should be replaced to ensure peaceful by-election. IG Sindh expressed his worries regarding security of Umerkot by-election in next month. He wrote a letter to the EC for transfer of SSP Ijaz Shaikh. He adopted a stance that many cases have been registered against Ijaz Shaikh in Umerkot. On the other hand, Dr Kaleem Imam continued his mission to reveal the criminal activities of the PPP ‘Jiyalas’.
