Sindh Opp leader to be declared after party consultation: Imran Ismail
KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and nominee for Sindh governor Imran Ismail said on Sunday that the name of opposition leader in Sindh Assembly would be announced after the party consultation in parliamentary meeting. Speaking to the journalists, Imran Ismail said that the party will meet with a delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Monday. He added that the name (for the slot of Sindh Assembly opposition leader) will be announced after the party meeting. The PTI leader that every project of the local government of Karachi will be audited by third party. He promised to set a new trend during his tenure. He shared that he will not be staying at Governor House, adding that he will only use the office of the Governor. To a question, Ismail remarked that the Governor House cannot be bulldozed. “We will open Governor House for the public but we have to see how it can be utilised. It can be used as an educational institute, university, or art gallery.” He vowed to minimise the expenditures of Governor House as much as possible. “I will not be staying at one place but rather travelling across Sindh.” Ismail also remarked that PTI proved to be the biggest opposition party in Sindh, adding that the opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly will be from PTI. Earlier, the PTI had announced its decision to appoint Imran Ismail as Sindh governor on Saturday. The statement said that PTI chairman Imran Khan has given a formal approval for Ismail's appointment as Sindh governor.
