Sindh to observe complete lockdown today from 12pm-3pm

KARACHI (Web Desk) – A complete lockdown from 12pm to 3pm will be observed across Sindh on Friday (today). According to the Sindh Home Department, the announcement came as the provincial government mulls over whether or not to extend the lockdown by a week as coronavirus cases continue to rise across the country. The department stated that no sort of religious gatherings or congregations would be allowed during the complete lockdown and the movement of citizens was banned as well. However, the government has exempted people involved in an emergency situation. Earlier in the previous week, the complete lockdown from 12 noon to 3:30pm has been imposed across the Sindh today to prevent people from participating in congregational Friday prayers. The Sindh administrations are taking strong measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus epidemic. Sindh government has announced a complete lockdown from 12:00 noon to 3:00pm to restrict the Friday congregations and asked the people to offer prayer at home. Under the new directives, no traffic will be allowed on the road during this period. Sindh Home Department also issued a notification to order complete closure of public, private, transport, business other public activities on Friday.
