Sindh to present Rs 717b budget for FY2015-16

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Minister for Finance Murad Ali Shah will present Rs 717 billion budget for the fiscal year 2015-16 on Saturday. A sum of Rs 6 billion will be allocated for Sindh Rangers, while Rs 62 billion will be spent on maintaining law and order. An amount of Rs 1 billion will be allocated for the Jail Department, while a new jail will be built in Nawab Shah. As many as 25,000 new jobs will be produced across the province. Moreover, 10,000 policemen will be recruited. The Excise and Taxation Department, Sindh Revenue Board and Board of Revenue have been given the target of Rs 10 billion tax recovery to cover up the deficit. A sum of Rs 10b of special packages will be allocated for the uplift projects in Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur, Khairpur and Benazirabad.
