ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan said to avoid double taxation simple single tax return form will be introduced. In a series of tweets on Wednesday, the special assistant said that logistic sector will be transferred to E-commerce to make it efficient and effective.   “E-commerce is an important government step under the Prime Minister's vision to ensure ease of doing business and encourage young people and small businesses,” Fridous said.  E-commerce policy will harmonize Pakistan's economy with contemporary modern needs and lead to increased business activity,” she added. The special assistant said digitizing financial matters will ensure protection of investment and consumer rights. Firdous Ashiq Awan said under the policy, companies doing business worth one million rupees in a year will have to be registered with SECP. She said the State Bank will provide guidelines to traders on digital onboarding. Earlier, announcing a comprehensive relief package for rehabilitation of earthquake victims of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the government said that five million rupees to be paid to family of each quake victim. The special assistant said the federal government will provide half million rupees as compensation each for those, who died in the recent earthquake. Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said about one thousand houses have been fully damaged and 200,000 rupees each will be given under this category, while 3,500 households were partially damaged, which will be compensated with 50,000 rupees each.
