Sit-in for 11th day: Balochistan govt withdraws FIR against opposition MPAs

QUETTA (92 News) - The sit-in of the opposition members at Quetta police station continued for 11th day as the Balochistan government has withdrawn an FIR registered against MPAs from opposition.

It is pertinent to mention here that the FIR was registered against 17 MPAs of opposition parties of the Balochistan Assembly for allegedly attacking the assembly and treasury bench lawmakers ahead of the provincial budget on June 18.

Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal claimed to withdraw the FIR registered against the opposition members. He said that the anarchy existed within opposition groups, one group agree to end sit-in but second is refusing to do so.

According to details, a notification regarding withdrawal of the case has also been issued. The notification issued in this regard, at this stage, apparently contradiction of evidence is available against the opposition members.

The leaders discharged from the FIR included Malak Sikandar, Ahmed Nawaz, Akhtar Langov, Sana Baloch, Shakeela Dehwar, Wahid Siddiqui, Hamal Kalmati, Aziz Agha, Naseer Shahwani, Nasrullah Zehri, Akhbar Mengal, Asghar Tareen, Haji Nawaz Kakar, Maki Sham Lal, Babu Rahim Mengal, Maulvi Noorullah and Zabit Reki.
