Situation in Afghanistan is deteriorating, says Moeed Yusuf
LAHORE (92 News) - Referring withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, National Security Adviser (NSA) Dr Moeed Yusuf has said that the situation in Afghanistan is not good and it is deteriorating.
In a special talk with 92 News program, the national security adviser mentioned that Pakistan does not want a civil war in Afghanistan. "Pakistan erected a fence. If there are concerns, the border will be closed," he added.
Moeed Yusuf said that there would be pressure on Pakistan due to denial of giving bases to US but Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has taken a strong decision. "US President should not call if he wants Pakistan to do more," he maintained.
"We want to enhance relations with the US and also want that the US should leave Afghanistan but Pakistan desires political stability in Afghanistan."
