LAHORE (92 News) – At least six people, including two women, were killed when a roof of a house collapsed in Lahore’s Bhati Gate area on Sunday. According to rescue officials, the four-storey building collapsed collapsed in Mohalla Aslam Khan area of the Walled City, Bhatti Gate which resulted six people were killed, while four others were rescued in injured condition. The residents were being trapped under the debris of the collapsed building after collapsing the building. Due to narrow streets, the rescue team reached late and faced difficulties in the rescue operation. Meanwhile, the rescue teams recovered all the bodies and injured persons under the debris. The deceased were identified as Shehzad, Shaheen Bibi, Qasim Ali and Farzana. The injured were shifted to a medical facility for treatment.
Four girls die in roof collapse incidents in Punjab cities
On April 17, three girls were killed in roof collapse incidents in different cities of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

The girls died in Haveli Lakha, Karak and Gujranwala. Moreover, 15 people were injured in the rain-related incidents. The rain continued to lash different cities with intervals. Hailstorm destroyed crops in different cities.

Six die as private school’s roof collapses in Gujranwala
Earlier, six people, including a woman, were killed when the roof of a private school collapsed on Kashmir Road. As many as 16 people were injured and shifted to hospital. Deputy Commissioner Naila Baqir and various officials reached the site of the incident and confirmed that a Pakistan Day function was taking place when the unfortunate incident took place. She ordered an inquiry into the incident. A six-member committee has been formed into the matter, which will present a report within 24 hours. The committee will also inspect the school and ascertain whether the building plan was approved by a competent authority or not. It will also review all reasons behind the collapse of the building.
