Six dacoits killed in encounter with police in Lahore’s Iqbal Town area

LAHORE (92 News) - Six dacoits were killed in an encounter with the police in Lahore's Iqbal Town are on Saturday.

The dacoits forced their entry into the house of Dr Ibad and held the family hostage. A girl from her roof noticed the dacoits' entry to the house and informed the police.

The police immediately responded and reached the house. On seeing the police, the dacoits opened indiscriminate fire, which was retaliated.

The encounter continued for 45 minutes and resulted in the death of the dacoits. The police said that the dacoits had criminal record. Weapons have been recovered from the dacoits.
