Six dead, 26 injured in Indian firing along LoC

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – At least six civilians were killed and 26 were wounded unprovoked firing of Indian Border Force in Bini Sulariyan Village at Charwah Sector along the Line of Control (LoC), ISPR said on Friday. In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the six martyred civilians include four women. Earlier on Thursday, Four citizens, including two women, were martyred by unprovoked firing of Indian Border Force in Bini Sulariyan Village at Charwah Sector along the Working Boundary. Ten people were also injured in the firing. Pakistani border forces - Pakistan Rangers - also responded and targeted the Indian post that allegedly fired mortars on civilian population, it said. Despite a cease-fire agreement signed in 2003, the two countries frequently blame each other for firing on the Working Boundary and the Line of Control (LOC), a de facto border that divides disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir. The latest incident, first reported on Thursday night, came as Pakistan's prime minister accused New Delhi of committing 600 such cease-fire violations since January.
