Six die as private school’s roof collapses in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA (92 News) – Six people, including a woman, were killed when the roof of a private school collapsed on Kashmir Road on Saturday. As many as 16 people were injured and shifted to hospital. Deputy Commissioner Naila Baqir and various officials reached the site of the incident and confirmed that a Pakistan Day function was taking place when the unfortunate incident took place. She ordered an inquiry into the incident. A six-member committee has been formed into the matter, which will present a report within 24 hours. The committee will also inspect the school and ascertain whether the building plan was approved by a competent authority or not. It will also review all reasons behind the collapse of the building.
