Six die as rains wreak havoc in different areas of Balochistan

QUETTA (92 News) - Six people were killed in different rain-related incidents across the province.

In Turbat, several vehicles were washed away by rainwater in Pak-Iran border area. A flood-like situation has emerged in Kohlu due to swelling canals after the incessant rains.

A vehicle heading to Makhmar from Kohlu was also washed away. Levies personnel with the help of locals rescued the trapped people. Traffic was suspended after an avalanche fell on the road in Fazal Chail.

On the other hand, several temporary dykes broke due to a middle-level flood in the River Sutlej. Water entered in several localities. Rescue teams shifted 2,064 people trapped in the flood to safe places.

The River Sutlej is in a middle flood at Head Sulemanki. The rainwater coming out of Koh-e-Suleman inundated the low-lying areas in Rojhan. People are shifting from the flood-hit areas.
