Six eye patients affected by fake injection undergo surgery at Mayo Hospital

LAHORE (92 News) - Six eye patients, who were affected by a fake injection, underwent surgery at Mayo Hospital on Monday.

In the first phase of the surgery, filthy substance was removed from their eyes. Doctors said that apparently the operations remained successful and their exact condition would be assessed in a couple of days.

Meanwhile, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi visited the hospital and inquired after the health of the patients.

He said that it was regrettable that the people had lost their eyesight. "The affected people would be treated free. It is illegal to prepare 100 injections from a single injection," he added.

The chief minister said that the drug inspector had been suspended and action would be taken against him.
