Seven killed in dispute over water in Faisalabad’s Gogera area

FAISALABAD (92 News) – Seven people were killed in a dispute over water in Gogera area on Wednesday. According to eyewitnesses, people belonging to the Mirza Sahi Group reached the ‘dera' of Nawaz Sahi and opened fire on the people present there. As a result, Nawaz Sahi and Sher Muhammad died on the spot. Wali Muhammad, Ijaz and Mubashar were critically injured and taken to hospital where they died. In the retaliatory firing, Abu Al-Hassan of the Mirza Sahi Group was killed on the spot. Hameed was injured and taken to hospital where he died. According to the Kurr police, both groups had registered cases against each other over the dispute. The police have arrested the accused Ihsan, Allah Ditta and Khizar Hayat with the help of locals.
