Six terrorists killed, soldier martyred in Sibbi operation
QUETTA (92 News) - Six terrorists were killed while a soldier was martyred and two others injured in an operation Nagao Mountains area near Sibbi, Balochistan on Saturday.
According to a press release issued by the ISPR, security Forces conducted the operation on information of the presence of terrorists in the area. Once the troops started the clearance operation, terrorists tried to escape from their hideout and opened fire on the security forces.
Six terrorists, including Naseebullah Bangalzai alias Jahangir, Pir Jan and Rakai Kalhoi, belonging to the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) were killed in the ensuing exchange of fire. These terrorists were involved in recent security incidents in Sibi and surroundings and were also linked to the 20 January blast in Anarkali, Lahore.
In addition, arms and ammunition have also been recovered which were intended to be used by the terrorists for disrupting peace and security in the area. During the operation, a valiant son of soil, Sepoy Nisar embraced martyred while another two soldiers were injured.
Security forces, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwarting attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.
