Slain journalist Hasnain Shah laid to rest in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) – Slain journalist Hasnain Shah was laid to rest in a local graveyard on Tuesday.

Earlier, a large number of people from different walks of life, including Adviser to the Chief Minister Hassan Khawar, Punjab Government consultant Furrukh Shah and political and social figures, attended the funeral.

According to the sources, the police are tracing the shooters with the help of CCTV footages. They have arrested the owners of the four motorcycles provided to the shooters. Meanwhile, the preliminary report on the murder has been sent to the IGP Punjab.

On the other hand, the journalist community staged a protest demonstration and demanded immediate arrest of the killers.

Speaking on the occasion, Hassan Khawar said that he is standing with the journalist community. “The murder of Hasnain Shah in front of Lahore Press Club is very unfortunate. We are investigating the case from different angles,” he added. Hassnain Shah was shot dead on his way to the office.
