Smog Out Of Control In Pakistan: Lahore Ranked 2nd in the List of Polluted cities
Lahore: (92 News) Air pollution could not be reduced in Lahore, the capital of Punjab has been declared as the second most polluted city in the world, water is being sprinkled in the areas most affected by smog.
The air of Lahore is heavily polluted, visibility has also decreased, the air quality index in the provincial capital was recorded at 220 in the morning.
Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb says that the multi-sectoral action plan of the Chief Minister for the elimination of smog is being fully implemented, roads are being disinfected by sprinkling water in Shimla Pahari, Abbott Road, Gulistan Chowk, Haji Camp, Empress Road and adjacent areas.

In order to eliminate encroachments on Haji Camp and Empress Road, 200 wagons were taken into custody and temporary sheds were demolished, CE Oola WMC Babar Sahib Deen says that sweeping is also going on along with spraying water on Davis Road, Nadra Office, Abbott Road, Empress Road, Allama Iqbal Road۔
In order to combat smog, the Transport Department issued a challan for more than 5,000 smoke-emitting vehicles and blocked more than 1,780 vehicles in October.
