Soldier martyred as terrorists open fire on Pakistani troops from inside Afghanistan

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - A soldier was martyred when terrorists opened fire on Pakistani troops from inside Afghanistan across the international border in general area Kharlachi, Kurram District.

According to a press release issued by the ISPR on Friday, the Pakistani troops responded in a befitting manner. As per credible intelligence reports, terrorists suffered heavy casualties due to fire of Pakistani troops.

During the fire exchange, Sepoy Jamshed Iqbal (age 27 years, resident of Chiniot), having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom.

Pakistan strongly condemns the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against Pakistan and expects that the interim Afghan government will not allow conduct of such activities, in future.

The Pakistan Army is determined to defending Pakistan’s borders against the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
