Soldier martyred in South Waziristan IED explosion

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – A soldier was martyred when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded near a military check post in Kaniguram, South Waziristan District.

According to a press release issued by the ISPR, Lance Naik Waqas Ahmed (26 years, a resident of Karachi) was martyred.

A cordon and search operation is in progress to apprehend any terrorists found in the area. The Pakistan Army is determined to eliminating the menace of terrorism and sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
