Soldier martyred, six terrorists killed in North Waziristan operation: ISPR

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - A soldier was martyred and six terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire in Dattakhel area, North Waziristan on Wednesday.

According to a press release issued by the ISPR, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) on reported presence of terrorists in the area. The Pak Army troops executed a successful operation and killed six terrorists. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists.

The killed terrorists had been actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.

However, during intense ex-change of fire, Lance Naik Islamuddin (age 34 years, resident of Khyber District), embraced martyrdom while fighting against terrorists valiantly.

Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate terrorists from the area.
