ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that some Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) are working beyond their requirement and mandate. Talking to journalists in Islamabad on Friday, the minister said that government is framing a policy to bring the International NGOs under the domain of the country's law and constitution. "Any domestic or international NGO pursuing the foreign agenda against the national interests will not be allowed to operate in the country," he said. "We intend not not want to impose any ban on the NGOs, but they will have to respect the code of conduct and the charter of registration." Chaudhar Nisar said that the country welcomes the NGOs engaged in public welfare projects. "The government has always and will facilitate such NGOs operating under the domain of their charter. Earlier, an international NGO allegedly having part in Osama bin Ladin raid in Abbotabad in 2011, Save the Children, was shut down an its office sealed on government orders as it was working against the domain of their charter. Police and government officials arrived at its compound in after working hours and placed a lock on the gate.
