ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) has termed some sections of the NAB Ordinance as un-Islamic. Addressing a press conference on Thursday, CII Chairman Qibla Ayaz said that the council had endorsed the National Assembly resolution against blasphemous caricatures. “We demand a ban on uploading the blasphemous content,” he added. He said that sections 14D, 15A and 26 of the NAB Ordinance are un-Islamic and in clash with Shariah. “The sections pertaining to becoming an approver, plea bargain and accused’s responsibility to prove his innocence are un-Islamic.” The CII chairman said that handcuffing and arresting the accused and his/her publicity on the media are also un-Islamic.
