SP among four cops martyred in Quetta

QUETTA (92 News) – At least four police personnel including Superintendent of Police (SP) were martyred when some unidentified armed assailants opened firing targeting a police vehicle in the provincial capital’s Sapni Road on Thursday.

The ill-fated incident took place in Quetta’s Sapni Road near Killi Deba area when three gunmen targeted a police mobile vehicle which was on routine patrol, martyring four police personnel including Superintendent Police (SP) Quaidabad Police Station Mubarak Shah.

A policeman was also injured in the incident. The SP Quaidabad along with other policemen was on routine patrolling in the area when gunmen sprayed bullet on his vehicle.

Police and rescue officials reached the spot and the bodies were rushed to the Civil Hospital Quetta for legal formalities.

Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area soon after the incident and launched investigation into the incident.
