Speaker Asad Qaisar, Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri resign

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar and Deputy Speaker Qasim resigned on Saturday.

Tendering his resignation, Asad Qaisar asked Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to complete the legal procedure in line with the Supreme Court orders.

He said that he had received the threatening letter. "I am bound to follow the constitution. I decided to resign keeping in view the solidarity of Pakistan," he declared.

Asad Qaisar said that the country is the first of all for them. "We have to think about Pakistan. Khan Sahib is adamant for the self-respect of the country," he added.
