LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi has on Sunday said that Sri Lanka's tour of Pakistan is beginning of a new era of international cricket in Pakistan. Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Sunday, he said Emerging Players Asia Cup 2018 will be held in Pakistan in April next year. Najam Sethi said a meeting of Asian Cricket Council's Development Committee was held in Lahore today, which will give a positive message to other cricketing nations. He said that today is a historic day for cricket in Pakistan. The PCB chairman thanked Sri Lankan Cricket Board and players for their cooperation in restoring international cricket in Pakistan. Speaking on this occasion, Sri Lankan Cricket President Thilanga Sumathipala said that Sri Lanka stands with Pakistan for restoration of international cricket. He said that Sri Lankans were happy to be in Lahore to support good cricket, adding that Pakistan is a big cricket-playing country, which can't be ignored. The Sri Lankan Cricket President said that Pakistan extended support to Sri Lanka during the times of unrest.
