SSC results: Boys set new record by securing top positions across Punjab

LAHORE/RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Boys outshone girls by securing top positions in the SSC annual examinations 2016 across the province on Wednesday. A majority of the position holders belong to poor families. In Lahore, Rana Umar Farman got the overall first position with 1087 marks. Muhammad Shayan secured the second place with 1086 marks, while Syed Momin Ali and Hasnain Mushtaq shared the third place with 1085 marks. In Faisalabad, the first two positions went to boys while a girl secured the third place. There is a difference of one mark in all the three positions. In Rawalpindi, students from cadet colleges secured all the three positions. Saqib Javed of Cadet College Chakwal got the first position with 1070 marks, while Samavia Sehr of Fauji Foundation Girls School, Attock and Zahid Ali of Cadet College Hassanabdal shared the second place with 1069 marks. Muhammad Abu Bakr of Siddiuqe Public School, Rawalpindi notched up the third place with 1068 marks.
