SSP Sajid Mohmand martyred, 10 cops injured in Chaman suicide attack

CHAMAN (92 News) – SSP Sajid Mohmand was martyred and 10 people, including policemen, were injured in a suicide attack in Burghi Bazar, Chaman on Monday.

The SSP convoy was passing through Bogra Road when a suicide bomber blew himself up.

The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital. Three seriously injured people have been shifted to Quetta. The head and a leg of the suicide bomber have been found from the site.

The martyred SSP belongs to Charsadda and he was transferred to the Balochistan government.

He also served as DPO Karak and Swat and Peshawar SSP Security. He had to return on January 2018.

After the blast, security forces launched a search operation. All bazaars were closed after the incident.

Emergency has been declared in all hospitals of Chaman.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Tajir Ittehad has announced a shutdown strike against the incident and demanded the arrest of the people involved in terrorism.
